The Prince’s Trust Award Evening
On the 19th January, we held our very first Prince’s Trust Awards Evening. This was a celebration of the work our first cohort achieved by the end of Year 9. The Prince’s Trust is a Nationally Recognised organisation who have the motto, “You Can Do it”. They work with young people between the ages of 11 to 30 and run a variety of programmes. Like me, they believe that every person has talent and that sometimes young people need a little help to unlock that talent. So they help to develop skills for life, that aren’t always measured in the usual GCSE qualifications. We all know that success in life is down to far more than just academic qualifications. I was very proud to present our students with either a ‘Certificate of Achievement’, a ‘Level 1’ or a ‘Level 2’ award. It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers supporting their children and to hear about how they had developed their skills during the course.
