How and when is my child assessed?
In Photography pupils complete a portfolio of work which counts for 60% of their final grade. Pupils then complete an exam piece from a theme set by the examination board, they will have a 10 hour timed exam to complete the final outcome.
How to support your child in Photography:
All these subjects have a large Non Exam Assessment (NEA) as part of the course. It is vital pupils keep up to date with this work. They should follow the weekly plans and check lists provided by their teacher. Pupils should ensure use their own time to complete the research for their NEA and pupils are actively encouraged to extend their creative projects outside of school and will balance their classroom time and extra-curricular learning. They should also make use of the exemplar work, which can be found on Moodle.
