Visiting Former Pupils at Blackpool 6th Form 2019
I was very pleased to have been invited to Blackpool Sixth Form to meet with some of our former students.
They are almost at the end of their first year studying at the Sixth Form. They have grown up so much, a number of them are now driving.
It was lovely to see them and hear about their studies and what they have been doing since leaving Baines. I asked what advice they could give to our current students.
They said, “To work really hard because A Levels are really hard”, “To learn independent learning skills so you can use your free periods correctly, there is no such thing as a free period” and “For our younger students, to start thinking about your career plans early and explore the qualifications you need and what courses are available to you”. I hope some will return to talk to our current students and inspire them for their future aspirations.
