Throughout the sixth form, students are given access to a range of career events and individually supported in the choices that they make. They attend the UCAS Higher Education convention each year where they can speak to representatives from each university as well as non-university options and we attend Leeds University open day. Some students also visit the Oxbridge conference and visit Oxford University.

We hold an annual careers convention in school each Autumn and we regularly have guest speakers in to school to speak to the students from local universities and organisations such as student finance, whatuni and A Star Future.

Students are supported on an individual basis when applying to UCAS or for alternative options by their tutor and the sixth form team. Each student is given access to Careers planner (www.careesplanner.com) which allows them to explore their career options, and where needed students are also given individual careers guidance interviews by Career-Nav.
