How and when is my child assessed?

In Food and Nutrition pupils complete two Non Examined Assessments, a food investigation and a food preparation assessment, these count for 50% of their final grade. The other 50% is a written examination.

How to support your child in Food & Nutrition:

All these subjects have a large Non Exam Assessment (NEA) as part of the course. It is vital pupils keep up to date with this work. They should follow the weekly plans and check lists provided by their teacher. Pupils should ensure use their own time to complete the research for their NEA and pupils are actively encouraged to extend their creative projects outside of school and will balance their classroom time and extra-curricular learning. They should also make use of the exemplar work, which can be found on Moodle.
