Modern Foreign Languages at Baines aims to develop our pupils’ knowledge, understanding and use of language to develop Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing competencies. We draw on their understanding of languages in Primary school and use it, alongside their developing skills in English, to create pupils who can confidently and accurately express themselves in another language. Through the studying of other culture, festivals and traditions, we also aim to develop our pupils into well-rounded, worldly and tolerant individuals who can explore the world around them and respect the differences and similarities in cultures.
