Performance

Catch up

The DFE continues to provide additional funding to schools for Year 7 students who have not met the expected standard in reading and/or maths. From 2016-17 onwards, a score of 100 represents the expected standard on the key stage 2 test.

At Baines, students identified as not having met the expected standard receive a differentiated curriculum and where appropriate, additional support to help them to meet age-related expectations. At present, the school has no indication of the funding available but it is anticipated that it will be a similar sum to last year.

How we intend to support students in Year 7 in 2017‐18 at Baines:

We assess the individual needs of each Year 7 pupil to decide the best way to use the funding and careful consideration is given to national and school-based research in order to provide a range of strategies that impact positively on student outcomes.
